For over 17 years, we have been supporting parents in Romania in making the right choices for their children. We offer clothing collections that look good, feel good, and are designed to withstand all the adventures of childhood.
We are IXY, the official retailer of NEXT Kidswear collections in Romania, and starting in 2026 we are also online - closer to you than ever before. At the same time, we aim to grow and gradually expand our portfolio, bringing additional relevant brands for families in Romania in the future.
Who we are
The children’s clothing store you can trust.
IXY is a Romanian company founded in 2007, with its first store opened in 2008. By 2026, we have built a strong presence in children’s fashion retail, operating exclusively offline until now.
We are the official operator of the NEXT UK franchise in Romania and the only authorized retailer selling NEXT Kidswear collections locally. This means authentic products, selections directly from the seasonal NEXT collections, and quality standards you can rely on.
We have a dedicated local team that understands the real needs of families in Romania. Starting as an offline retailer helped us build a better online store:
- We know which collections sell in Romania – the selection on IXY reflects the real preferences of Romanian parents, not the entire NEXT UK assortment.
- We understand what a stress-free experience looks like – our return policy, Click & Collect service, and customer support are all built on real in-store experience.
- Our size guide has been calibrated based on real store returns, not generic charts.
- We keep local stock available immediately – we do not ship from external warehouses. Having managed products physically for over 17 years allows us to accurately anticipate seasonal demand.
- Our online support team has real experience in NEXT Romania stores – people who know the products firsthand.

Beyond the products themselves, we have also designed a smooth shopping experience:
- Fast delivery in 1–2 working days from local stock – no waiting for international shipments.
- Click & Collect – order online and pick up your items at AFI Palace Cotroceni.
- Simple returns at a fixed cost of 9 RON.

Material quality
The NEXT Kidswear collections available on IXY are a safe choice for children’s clothing. They meet international safety standards for products intended for children.
NEXT UK applies rigorous quality testing for materials, dyes, and wash durability — because children’s clothes should last not just for the first wears, but throughout childhood.
Products for babies and young children are made from carefully selected materials that are safe for sensitive skin. The swimwear collection also includes UV 50+ protection, a feature still relatively limited on the Romanian market.
Our commitment to safety and sustainability
- 39% of cotton comes from sustainable Better Cotton (BCI) sources, including certified organic variants such as GOTS and OCS.
- We use fibers such as REPREVE and ECONYL, verified through GRS and RCS standards.
- Chemical safety: through the ZDHC program, ensuring that manufacturing processes do not use harmful substances for children or the environment.
- Ethical responsibility: we use RDS-certified down, RWS-certified wool, and cellulosic fibers (such as Tenceland EcoVero) sourced exclusively from forests monitored through the Canopy initiative.

Our retail experience
We opened the first IXY store in 2008. Since then, we have grown steadily — not through aggressive expansion, but through long-term relationships with families who choose to return season after season.
